Mrs. Mae M. Johnson, 82, of 111 1/2 E. Pike St., died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. She had been seriously ill two weeks. Born Feb. 22, 1880, in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of Tilman and Sarah Davis Swisher. She married Allen W. Johnson. They were married in Crawfordsville. Mr. Johnson, who was employed by the old Citizens Bank, died in 1922. Mrs. Johnson was employed by the old Graham and Bishoff department stores. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church and Circle W of the church. Surviving are a son, Ted Johnson of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Miller of Indianapolis and Mrs. Dorothy Gandolf of Camby; a brother, Howard Swisher of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Alice Hunt of Rockville; and two grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John G. DeKruyter officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Monday. The deceased requested that contributions be made to the Heart Fund in lieu of flowers.
